Where is NeoHealth located?+

We are located at Suite 12, Prince Vintcent Square, Gloucester Avenue, George, 6530, Western Cape, South Africa.

What are your practice hours?+
  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed
Do I need an appointment?+

Yes, we recommend booking an appointment to ensure you are seen promptly. You can book online at myneohealth.co.za/book or call us on 044 868 0707.

Is walk-in available?+

Walk-in patients are accommodated on a best-effort basis depending on availability. We strongly encourage booking ahead, especially during peak hours, to avoid unnecessary waiting.

How do I contact the practice?+

Medical Aid & Payment

Which medical aids do you accept?+

We accept all major South African medical aid schemes, including Discovery Health, GEMS, Bonitas, Medshield, Momentum Health, Polmed, Bankmed, and over 700 more schemes in our database. If you are unsure whether your scheme is accepted, please contact us.

Do you accept private/cash patients?+

Yes, private and cash patients are welcome. Payment is due on the day of your consultation. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, and EFT.

What are your consultation fees?+

Do you dispense medication on-site?+

Yes. Both Dr. Ethan Chellan and Dr. Claudia Lakay hold National Department of Health dispensing licences. Medication is dispensed on-site at cost, so you can leave the practice with your treatment in hand.

What services do you offer?+

NeoHealth offers a comprehensive range of primary healthcare services, from general consultations and chronic disease management to women's health, paediatrics, occupational health, mental health, IV vitamin therapy, minor procedures, and more. See our full Services page for details.

Do you offer telehealth/online consultations?+

Yes. Both Dr. Chellan and Dr. Lakay are certified in Telemedicine for Healthcare Professionals (HCP). You can schedule a secure video consultation online at myneohealth.co.za/book.

Can I get IV Vitamin Therapy?+

Yes. Dr. Claudia Lakay is certified in IV Vitamin Therapy and offers a range of infusions tailored to your health needs. Book a consultation to discuss the right option for you.

Do you do occupational health/fitness certificates?+

Yes. We provide pre-employment medicals, fitness-for-duty assessments, and fitness certificates. Employer agreements are available for corporate clients.

Do you perform minor procedures?+

Yes. Our doctors perform a range of minor procedures in practice, including wound care, suturing, incision and drainage, lesion removal, and more. Speak to your doctor during your consultation for further details.

Patient Portal

How do I register as a new patient?+

You can register online through our patient portal at myneohealth.co.za/portal/login and click "Register". The process takes approximately 5 minutes and includes personal details, contact information, medical aid, POPIA consent, and a digital signature.

How do I book an appointment online?+

Once registered, visit myneohealth.co.za/book to select your preferred doctor, date, and time. You'll receive a confirmation via email and SMS.

Can I access my results online?+

Online access to results is coming soon. In the meantime, please contact the practice directly for any results or follow-up queries.

Is my data safe?+

Absolutely. NeoHealth is fully POPIA compliant. All personal and medical information is encrypted, stored securely, and handled strictly in accordance with South African data protection legislation. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Emergencies

What do I do in a medical emergency?+

In a medical emergency, call 10177 (SA emergency number) or 112 from a mobile phone immediately. You can also proceed directly to George Hospital Emergency Department at 044 802 4500. For more information, visit our Emergency Information page.
